Maen Watches has updated the popular Classic Moonphase to create the new Brooklyn 39, now available as a simple three-hand as well, with a date option. As the name implies, this elegant dress watch is 39mm wide. Length is only 46mm and it is a positively svelte 7mm thick. Add applied faceted and polished markers and hands, and choice of Jet Black, Ice Gray, or Midnight Blue sunray dials, and you have all the elements of a sophisticated dress watch.
This Brooklyn 39 runs on one of three Swiss Made Ronda five-jewel quartz movements (706, 762, or 704) depending on the complications chosen. The stainless steel case features a stepped bezel and combination of brushed and polished surfaces. Silver finishes are standard but the Moonphase model also has an option for a rose gold finish. Altogether, there are ten variants from which to choose.
All versions have sapphire crystals with double anti-reflective coatings and are rated for 50m water resistance. The strap is 20mm wide Italian calf leather with a signed butterfly deployant clasp.
