It is with slightly misty eyes that The Time Bum bids farewell to Mike Razak, who is moving on from his freelance watch review gigs to be Editor-in-Chief of Tempus Fugit.
I met Mike at a District Time event a few years ago and invited him to join my occasional DC watch nerd dinners. I quickly came to appreciate his smart, funny, and often wickedly irreverent approach to the watch hobby and was delighted when he asked if he could write a review for the site. His work was so good that I soon felt compelled to pay him for it, which is quite something for a cheap bastard like me.
When Tempus Fugit’s founder James Henderson decided that his site needed new blood and a fresh start, he looked to Mike and I must say, he made an excellent choice. While I’m disappointed that Mike will no longer be among us Bums, I am happy for him and excited to see what he does at Tempus Fugit. He’s already revamped the page and added more contributors. I highly recommend you check it out.
It was a good run: 3 years, 94 reviews, and 1 friendship. I lost the writer, but I’ve still got the friend and I’m totally cool with that.
