Last year, I attended the very first Watches, Whiskey and Wine event in Hagerstown, Maryland. It was hosted by Maryland Watch Works and featured local distillers, an array of microbrand and boutique watchmakers, and a host of local enthusiasts. It was an absolute blast, and I am pleased to announce that they are doing it again as Watches and Whiskey on August 6-7, 2022.
Once more, the event will take place at 38 South Potomac Street, Hagerstown, MD 21740, from 11:00 am to 5:00 pm. While you won’t find wine this time, there will be plenty of whiskey courtesy of co-sponsor Meinelschmidt Distillery as well as participating brands Blackwell Brandy, Inkwell Whiskey, McClintock Distilling, Pathfinder Farm, and Shmidt Spirits. Maryland-based watch brands Hager Watches, McDowell Time, and Tsao Baltimore will return as well as the E. Stohlman Watch Company, Swiss Watch Company, and Hawaii’s Mark Carson. Other local businesses, such as Red Hill Tactical, will also participate. More brands will be added as they get closer to the event date, so be sure to check the website and Facebook page.
The event is free and open to the public, but if you plan to partake in the whiskey tasting, you will need a ticket. They are $10 for one day, $15 for two, and an extra $5 if you buy them at the door. I’d recommend buying online in advance (click “Events”) and maybe going the extra $25 for a catered dinner on Saturday night at the 28 Ballroom.
I can’t think of a better way to spend a day – or the whole weekend. You can find out more at WatchesAndWhiskeyShow.com.
See you there!
