Watches and Whiskey is back! On July 22-23, 2023, this annual event will once again bring local distillers, independent watchmakers, and other exciting vendors to Hagerstown, Maryland. The event is free, and doors will be open from 11:00 am to 5:00 pm on both days.
Now in its third year, Watches and Whiskey will be presented by the Horology Hub and co-hosted by Maryland Watch Works and Meinelschmidt Distillery at 40 South Potomac Street, Hagerstown.
The event joins combines horology and alcohol, two things near and dear to The Time Bum’s heart. Enthusiasts will get to sample fine spirits and shop a selection of watches normally available only online or overseas. You’ll find cigars and knives too.
Sponsors include Whales Cigars, Visit Hagerstown, the City of Hagerstown, and Red Hill Tactical, as well as TLIC Photography and R2A Watches. Watch fans will be particularly interested in that last one, as this Connecticut-based company imports a selection of Russian and European watches, including Vostok-Europe, Sturmanskie & Gagarin, Pramzius, and Tsikolia. You will find watchmakers from closer to home as well. Hagerstown’s E. Stohlman and Hager Watches will be there, of course. McDowell Time, Tsao Baltimore, Winfield, and Lesablier will also exhibit.
On the spirits side, McClintock Distilling, Pathfinder Farm, Blackstone Brandy, and Shmidt Spirits will be there to offer an impressive array of whiskey, rye, bourbon, brandy, gin, moonshine, and a few even more exotic surprises. You can taste a sample if you purchase a ticket. Yes, I know I said the event is free, but tastings will require a single $10 ticket. What can I say? There are pretty strict rules about booze, and the ticket is a small price to pay — literally and figuratively.
More exhibitors may be added as we get closer to the event date, so be sure to visit WatchesAndWhiskeyShow.com.
We hope to see you there!
