If you are a West Coast microbrand watch enthusiast, don’t miss Intersect Los Angeles on Saturday, July 27, 12:00 pm to 4:00 pm at Altar Society, 230 Pine Ave, Long Beach, California.
Intersect is a public watch event organized by Wes Kwok of Nodus, Markus Wälchli of Formex, and Peter Cho of Jack Mason. Since the first Intersect in 2021, it has brought together independent watch brands and enthusiasts, providing the kind of hands-on, immersive experience that you can only experience at a watch fair. Unlike many such events, this is a collective effort in which the exhibitors are curated by the brands to ensure they share the same values and standards.
General admission is free, but you must RSVP in advance. If you want a little more time and interaction with the brands, you can register for early access (10:00 am to 11:30 am) for just $40. Another $25 gets you a drinks ticket.
In addition to Nodus, Formex, and Jack Mason, other participating brands include Astor + Banks, Bespoke Watch Projects, Christopher Ward, Dryden, Dufrane, Farer, Lorier, Marin Instruments, MKII, SoLabs, RZE, Raven, Seals, Standard H, Tornek-Rayville, Tsao Baltimore, Vaer, Vero, and Visitor.
Intersect welcomes both seasoned collectors and curious neophytes, and the folks involved are some of my favorite people in the watch business. If you can drive, fly, or otherwise find your way to L.A. that day, you will not be disappointed. If not, be sure to look for Intersect in Austin this fall and Atlanta in the spring.
