With temperatures in the Greater Washington Area approaching 100° nearly every day this month, the only sensible thing to do is find a nice air-conditioned destination to have a drink and buy some watches. I plan to do exactly that at Watches and Whiskey, an annual gathering of watch brands and local distilleries held at 40 South Potomac Street, Hagerstown, Maryland.
This year’s event will be on July 27th and 28th, from 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. each day. The watch area is free and open to the public, but there is a $10 fee to enter the distilleries’ sample area.
Watches and Whiskey is sponsored by Horology Hub and hosted by Maryland Watch Works and Meinelschmidt Distillery. Watch fans will also want to check out E. Stohlman, Hager, Haim, Lesablier, Mark Time, McDowell Time, Winfield, and Zenea. For spirits, don’t miss Baltimore Spirits Co., Blackstone Brothers Distillery, McClintock Distilling, Pathfinder Farm, Tenth Ward Distilling Co., and Schmidt Spirits. Perhaps finish it all off with something from Whales Cigars.
Finally, Maryland Watch Works has reached into its vintage watch inventory to put up a gorgeous Omega Seamaster 300 for raffle.
I can’t think of a better way to spend a hot summer day. You can find out more at WatchesAndWhiskeyShow.com.
See you there!
