Every veteran watch enthusiast in the greater D.C. area knows Little Treasury Jewelers of Gambrills, Maryland. This family-owned shop is an authorized dealer for many outstanding brands, from industry juggernauts like Grand Seiko, Breitling, and Omega to independents like Nomos and Towson. This Thursday through Saturday, Little Treasury will host their annual Time Out Watch Fair, and you won’t want to miss it.
Thursday’s event will be at The Escapement, Little Treasury’s boutique event space. It starts at 11:00 am, featuring eight guest brands from around the globe. Special guests include journalists Barbara Palumbo and Robb Nudds. The day will wrap up with a cocktail reception before closing at 7:00 pm.
On Friday from 11:00 am to 6:00 pm, the fair will expand to both The Escapement and Little Treasury to include representatives from the store’s authorized brands. In the parking lot, Oris will be on hand with the famous Airstream, alongside an amazing selection from Porsche of Annapolis and R&M Performance Auto Restoration. There will be barbeque and freshly shucked oysters for pre-registrants in the afternoon.
Saturday (11:00 am to 5:00 pm) closes the three-day event in grand fashion with prizes, goody bags, and the famous Watch Wardrobing Contest. Participants will pair a watch of personal significance with an accompanying outfit (from the elegant to the absurd) and a one-minute pitch to the judges in a bid to win a Fortis watch or other amazing prizes. The Contest starts at 2:00 pm sharp, and contestants must be pre-registered. Of course, all of the watches, cars, and food will be there as well.
